The exhibit hall includes a play area for young children\, maps to orient you to the largest estuary on Lake Superior\, and information to help you get out and explore. \nWhat’s an Estuarium?\nA gathering place for learning and play! The term is a combination of words “estuary” and “museum.” Join us in the exhibit hall to learn more about how fresh water\, ecology\, and culture coexist and thrive in the Lake Superior watershed. \nLocation\nLake Superior Estuarium\n3 Marina Drive\, Superior\, WI 54880. Her life was full of laughter\, hard work\, and a love of nature. She grew up believing she was born on June 8\, 1921\, the twelfth child of parents she called Ma and Pa. Although she notices signs throughout her life that made her question that belief\, it wasn’t until the 1970’s that she discovered the truth.\nJoyce’s memories were written down by her daughter\, Loretta\, in the early 2000’s\, and now\, in 2026\, Loretta has added her own memories of her mother and family.
