This event is free and is in the shelter building- WI state park vehicle admission pass required to park at Pattison State Park.\n“Since 1992\, Bill Jamerson has researched the CCC. He produced a documentary for Michigan PBS\, recorded a CD of songs\, and wrote a historical novel. He presents “Dollar-A-Day Boys” all across the Midwest. Over 2.5 million men enlisted in the corps and today\, their children and grandchildren have a keen interest in it. They often show up with CCC photo albums and memorabilia; they also share wonderful stories about their relatives with the audience. The story of the CCC has universal appeal because it’s about underdogs who are given a second chance.”

DESCRIPTION:Join the St. Louis River Alliance and the City of Superior for a guided walking tour of the 44th Ave E dock—formerly known as the Bunge Dock—the future site of a public waterfront access area on Allouez Bay. Old Dock – New Era: Public Access and Possibility at 44th Ave E (Bunge Dock) will be hosted on Thursday\, June 18 from 5:00-6:30 PM at the 44th Ave. Dock (Bunge Dock) located at 1 44th Avenue East Superior.\nDuring this on-site tour\, participants will explore the location’s industrial history\, current conditions\, and the possibilities for future public use. St. Louis River Alliance and Stantec (engineering designers) staff will gather community input as part of ongoing engagement and outreach efforts to help shape the vision for this emerging public space.
