They will read briefly from their work\, then discuss how and why they write and the process by which they have sold book-length manuscripts to publishers. A question-and-answer period will follow.\nPublishers Weekly called Johnson’s book Rescuing Claire “an immensely appealing first novel\,” Kirkus Reviews describing his prose as “muscular.” Booklist called the lengthy first piece in Bukoski’s The Thief of Words “striking\,” going on to say\, “Bukoski’s stories finely capture the unobserved weight of identity and things left behind.” Smith’s rich and wise debut story collection\, Silent Negotiations\, will be published in February 2027 by Cornerstone Press.

In partnership with our friends at North Shore SUP\, this event will help you connect with the breathtaking beauty of the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail. \nIf you’ve ever been curious about Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) or haven’t had formal instruction\, this free\, beginner-friendly event is perfect for you. The class includes a combination of on-land instruction and on-water paddling time\, creating a supportive learning environment for first-time paddlers. \nMeet us at Munger Landing’s sandy launch for an engaging and instructional hour-long introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding. Participants will learn SUP basics\, including how to properly size and handle equipment\, board anatomy and terminology\, proper stance\, paddling techniques and transitions\, and a bit of SUP history along the way. This will be in a fun and safe\, immersive learning environment where all equipment is provided for you. DESCRIPTION:07-11-26 Pressed Flower SuncatcherSaturday 10:00am – 3:00pmIn this workshop\, you will create a copper foiled stained glass suncatcher featuring pressed real flowers. We will discuss how to thoughtfully integrate pressed flowers into your design\, show you how to properly assemble and finish off your piece. The class fee of $60 includes instruction\, pressed flowers and UV spray. All other materials are extra. Stained glass experience is required.Price: $60.00Registration – Your registration in any class is secured upon receipt of full payment of your class fee. If you need to cancel we need at least 7 days advance notice. With 7 days notice\, you will receive store credit for your tuition. Otherwise\, you will forfeit the tuition.
