DESCRIPTION:Did you know that more than 2\,000 children called Fairlawn “home” during its 42 years as the Superior Children’s Home? \n\n\nSome children stayed for only a short time\, while others spent years growing up within these walls. Boys lived on the third floor\, girls stayed on the second floor\, and life at Fairlawn was much like that of other children in the community. They attended public school\, participated in Scouts and church activities\, and played with neighborhood friends.\n\n\nThis chapter of Fairlawn’s history is one that touched thousands of lives\, and this Sunday you have the opportunity to hear about it from someone who experienced it firsthand.\n\n\nJoin us at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday for a special History Talk with John Miller\, who lived at Fairlawn for 10 years as a resident of the Children’s Home. John will share his personal memories and stories\, offering a unique glimpse into what daily life was like inside the mansion during this remarkable period of its history.\n\n\nWe hope you’ll join us for this unforgettable look back at one of Fairlawn’s most meaningful chapters.
