DESCRIPTION:Join us Tuesday\, August 25th from 5-6:30pm for the ‘Guided Medicinal Plant Walk’. Lead by Valerie Ross Zhaawendaagozikwe. In person at the Cloquet Forestry Center Pavillion\, 175 University Rd\, Cloquet MN. Dinner will be provided at 5pm.\n\n\nThis class is a part of the 2026 Gitigaan Class Series and is free and open to everyone!\nRegister at tinyurl.com/2026GitigaanPlantWalk\nSpace for 30 participants\n\n\nJoin us for a plant walk guided by Valerie Ross Zhaawendaagozikwe at the Cloquet Forestry Center. She will discuss plants that can be harvested late summer at the Cloquet Forestry Center. Valerie will explain plant uses and how they can be stored.\n\n\nValerie Zhaawendaagozikwe combines her Biology and Environmental Science bachelors with more than ten years of experience working with plant medicine and wild plant foods. She belongs to the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe and the Long Plain First Nation and is a direct descendant of Fond du Lac. Valerie shares plant knowledge leads others in plant identification and remains grounded in ceremony and traditional teachings.
