DESCRIPTION:THE GREATEST BRIDGE BRIGADE EVER!On June 14th\, Flag Day\, join Rise Up Superior\, Good Trouble Indivisible\, Zenith City Indivisible\, Duluth Indivisible\, and Duluth 50501 for Hands Across the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge.\nWe will assemble on either side of the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge between Superior and Duluth (or Duluth and Superior\, depending on your perspective) and march with signs and flags across the bridge on the protected pedestrian/bike path. Somewhere near the middle\, we will join hands (and hearts and minds) in a demonstration of unity for democracy\, for justice and for community. Two States. Two Cities. One Bridge. One Country. Our Country.\nThe Bong Bridge is 2.2 miles long – we will need about 3\,000 people to be able to truly hold hands across the Bong Bridge. This event is set up for the Duluth access to the bike/pedestrian path (W. Michigan and S. 43rd Avenue West). DESCRIPTION:The annual Peony tour and tasting will be held this year on June 21\, 2026 again at Farmer Doug’s. 3361 Lindahl Rd 55810. The peonies will be in bloom and you will see 10+ varieties of the beauties. There will be complimentary wine at each of 5 stations. You will learn our tricks and tips on growing\, cutting\, keeping\, and how to make a bouquet. It’s a place where art and science come together. You will have to opportunity to tour 5 areas all with different systems and ways of growing. You will get a glimpse of an area where lavender grows\, sunflowers and other blooms.\nThis is a commercial peony operation\, so there may not be many peonies actually in bloom. We cut stems every day while in the marshmallow stage and keep them in cold storage until used. Farmer Doug will be at a station\, and he will give advice and have lots of stories to tell.\nAdmission is just $13 per adult $25 for 2\, while kids get in free. No need to buy tickets in advance — pay at the gate!!

In partnership with our friends at North Shore SUP\, this event will help you connect with the breathtaking beauty of the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail. \nIf you’ve ever been curious about Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) or haven’t had formal instruction\, this free\, beginner-friendly event is perfect for you. The class includes a combination of on-land instruction and on-water paddling time\, creating a supportive learning environment for first-time paddlers. \nMeet us at Munger Landing’s sandy launch for an engaging and instructional hour-long introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding. Participants will learn SUP basics\, including how to properly size and handle equipment\, board anatomy and terminology\, proper stance\, paddling techniques and transitions\, and a bit of SUP history along the way. This will be in a fun and safe\, immersive learning environment where all equipment is provided for you. Registration information coming soon!\nMEET AT The Lake Superior Estuarium on Barker’s Island in Superior\, WI.\nIn July\, baby birds begin to “graduate” into adulthood as they prepare for migration. Come join us for a celebration of this exciting adventure for the new adult birds!\nWe welcome people of all ages and ability levels to attend this accessible birding event at the Lake Superior Estuarium in Superior. Choices include:\n move along a short\, packed gravel path along the river with a bird guide\nexplore more stationary bird activities at your own pace\n\n\nAmerican Sign Language interpretation is provided. We have binoculars for people to use\, a spotting scope\, a wheelchair mount for binoculars\, and portable seating. DESCRIPTION:Join LiveWell for our 3rd annual free and inclusive Walk\, Run\, Roll 5K!\nThis event is FREE and open to the public. Guests are welcome to start arriving at 5 p.m. The walk/run/roll 5K will begin at 6:00pm. The “Roll” category welcomes all wheeled devices. Helmets are strongly encouraged. Children are welcome to register and participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult throughout the evening.\nThis is considered a fun run and will NOT be chipped or timed. Once you register to race or volunteer\, you’re encouraged to show off your fundraising skills for local veterans. All event purchases and proceeds help the local community through the Rotary Club of Superior. Additional fundraising and donations help veterans through Second Harvest.
