DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Nature As We Age: Connecting People\, Place\, and Purpose\, a regional convening focused on strengthening connections between older adults\, nature\, and community across Northeast Minnesota.\n\n\nAt the convening\, participants will:\n• Explore the physical\, mental\, and social benefits of nature\n• Discover practical\, adaptable ways to advance age-inclusion\, learn how to remove barriers\, and explore programs that can be scaled across Northland communities\n• Strengthen cross sector relationships and build a collaborative approach that unites aging services\, health\, parks and recreation\, and volunteers\n\n\nWe are excited that Larry Weber will be our keynote speaker. Larry is a Northern Minnesota naturalist\, educator\, author\, and longtime advocate for connecting people with the natural world.\n\n\nAll are welcome! DESCRIPTION:Join Senior Connections on Wednesday\, October 14 for a beautiful fall coach ride to Beaver Hollow Nature Preserve in Bayfield\, followed by lunch at Hugo’s Pizza in Ashland!\nUnfortunately\, our rental coach busses are NOT wheelchair accessible. We apologize for this inconvenience.\nDue to budget cuts and ongoing funding constraints\, we unfortunately need to charge $20 per person for this year’s trip. We remain committed to keeping opportunities like this as affordable as possible\, and your $20 helps us continue offering special outings for older adults in our community. \nSeating is limited and advance reservations are required! Reservations must be made in person at Senior Connections\, 1805 N. 16th St.\, Superior. Cash or check only.\n We hope you’ll join us for a beautiful fall day together!\nPlease Note: This trip is subject to cancellation if we do not receive enough sign-ups. If the trip is canceled\, all registered participants will be notified at least 1–2 weeks in advance and will receive a full refund that same week.
