Join us for our new River Revival event series\, a monthly gathering to learn about the river\, ongoing restoration at Wisconsin Point and Allouez Bay\, and ways to connect with this special place. \nHosted the third Thursday of the month April-September\, each event features engaging presentations from local partners and knowledge holders\, along with hands-on creative activities\, informal conversation\, and opportunities to share your questions and perspectives. \nJoin us for our first River Revival on Thursday\, April 16 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Superior Public Library. Anishinaabe artist\, educator\, and community organizer Giizh Agaton Howes of Heart Berry will share about the ~11-mile inaugural Anishinaabe Canoe Migration she organized on the St. Louis River in 2025. In this talk\, he presents stories from his recent book and examines the complicated relationship among transnational gangs\, the human smuggling industry\, and migrant desires for safety and well-being.
