Historic Nelson Home Open House @ Gordon WI

Sunday, May 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

  Historic Nelson Home
An old, weathered two-story house with a gabled roof and chipped white paint is surrounded by tall trees and dense bushes. The sun sets in the background, casting a warm glow around the building. The lawn is slightly overgrown.

Built by Peter Nelson who immigrated to the US from Sweden in the late 1800’s. He was employed by the Musseur Sauntry Logging Company as a “barn boss” and soon became prosperous. He built a saloon here in Gordon and this fine residence in the early 1900’s. While this historic home has been vacant for many years, new owners Matt Österlund and Amber are ready to embark upon a renovation to preserve this historic treasure! Stop in to see this historic home’s “before restoration” status! And many thanks to the Osterlunds for preserving this important part of our history!
