The Winter Solstice has been observed by humans across the
planet since time immemorial. It’s the shortest day and the longest night of
the year. Join us on a snowshoe walk and learn about the Earth Science
behind this natural phenomenon. After some “how to snowshoe” basics,
we’ll head out on the trail to see what we encounter in the woods. After the
program, join us around the fire for a hot beverage such as hot cocoa, tea,
or cider. Child and adult snowshoes are available.
