DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE! Registration will not open until Monday\, June 1st. \nThe St. Louis River Alliance invites you to join us on Thursday\, June 25\, from 5-8pm at Munger Landing (Clyde Ave\, Duluth\, MN 55808) for the ‘Physics of the Paddle: An Intro to SUP along the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail’. In partnership with our friends at North Shore SUP\, this event will help you connect with the breathtaking beauty of the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail. \nIf you’ve ever been curious about Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) or haven’t had formal instruction\, this free\, beginner-friendly event is perfect for you. The class includes a combination of on-land instruction and on-water paddling time\, creating a supportive learning environment for first-time paddlers. \nMeet us at Munger Landing’s sandy launch for an engaging and instructional hour-long introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding. Participants will learn SUP basics\, including how to properly size and handle equipment\, board anatomy and terminology\, proper stance\, paddling techniques and transitions\, and a bit of SUP history along the way. This will be in a fun and safe\, immersive learning environment where all equipment is provided for you. Guests will have a one hour time slot\, with 10 people in each group at a time max. \nAll participants will receive a free St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail map to inspire future adventures. We hope you can join us on the water! \nAre you looking to register for ‘Physics of the Paddle: An Intro to SUP along the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail’? SUMMARY:Guided Walking Tour of Bunge Dock/Public Access - Superior
DESCRIPTION:Join the St. Louis River Alliance and the City of Superior for a guided walking tour of the 44th Ave E dock—formerly known as the Bunge Dock—the future site of a public waterfront access area on Allouez Bay. Old Dock – New Era: Public Access and Possibility at 44th Ave E (Bunge Dock) will be hosted on Thursday\, June 18 from 5:00-6:30 PM at the 44th Ave. Dock (Bunge Dock) located at 1 44th Avenue East Superior.\nDuring this on-site tour\, participants will explore the location’s industrial history\, current conditions\, and the possibilities for future public use. St. Louis River Alliance and Stantec (engineering designers) staff will gather community input as part of ongoing engagement and outreach efforts to help shape the vision for this emerging public space. Each gathering features local partners and knowledge holders\, informal conversation\, and opportunities for community participation.
