Family Fun
Instant Childhood memories
Discover, laugh, connect. Repeat.
When everyone wants something fun for the whole family, try a few uniquely Superior activities that might get kids asking: “when can we go back?”
Superior YMCA Camp Tall Pines
OH GOODY!
You can’t miss the colorful murals outside of Sweeden Sweets, or the goodness inside. Sit at an old-fashioned ice cream bar for homemade treats and an experience that’s genuinely sweet. Across the street, play tabletop games at LevelUP, one of a handful of local stores for gaming, comics and collectibles.
Time Travel
Step back in time with a look at old-fashioned firefighting rigs, a lumber baron’s mansion and the last of the Whaleback ships. Discover America’s Ace of Aces, a World War II fighter jet and stories honoring veterans.
Get Rollin’
Have a wheely good time together at the roller rink. Roller skating? You bet yer bell bottoms. Or take your game to the bowling alley. The family that bowls together, rolls together.
Explore Outdoors
From boating and fishing to camping, hunting, hiking, biking and beyond, there are just so many ways to play here. Kids want to shred? Hit the skatepark or ski resort. Need some quiet time? Relax. We’ve got miles of beautiful beaches on the shores of the world’s greatest lake.
We’re Dog Friendly
Bringing the family pet? Head to the Superior Dog Park to give a good girl or boi some room to roam. Or use a leash and head to any park. You’ll find a whole lot of restaurants, hotels and shops that invite your furry friend to be here on vacation, too. And that’s certainly reason to wag your tail.
Go Barkers
Want to hang, play and maybe take a dip at the beach? Try Barker’s Island, home to concerts and big events each summer and winter. Visit the S.S. Meteor Whaleback ship and play a round of mini golf. Swim the beach or bike the Osaugie Trail. Rent a stand-up paddleboard, or charter a sailing or fishing trip at Barker’s Island Marina.
