Award-winning author Anesa Miller usually writes fiction set in Ohio; she has published two novels with Sibylline Press and dozens of short stories and essays.
She will stop by Superior to talk about her latest nonfiction project, which answers the question: “Why Don’t More Books Take Place in Wisconsin?”
Miller has spent two years researching the types of books chosen by the New York Times for their various “best-of” lists. She has developed statistics on the lucky authors whose books benefit from these forms of free advertising in our “national newspaper of record.”
Her upcoming nonfiction book, “So Deep Inside America We Can’t Be Seen,” discusses this research.
Anesa will share her research, with a special focus on Minnesota and Wisconsin.
She will also sign copies of her novels, “I Never Do This” and “Our Orbit.”
