The book shares family stories from Ronding and her mother, Joyce.
Joyce lived most of her life in Duluth, Minnesota where she raised nine children. Her life was full of laughter, hard work, and a love of nature. She grew up believing she was born on June 8, 1921, the twelfth child of parents she called Ma and Pa. Although she notices signs throughout her life that made her question that belief, it wasn’t until the 1970’s that she discovered the truth.
Joyce’s memories were written down by her daughter, Loretta, in the early 2000’s, and now, in 2026, Loretta has added her own memories of her mother and family.
