For the first time in our history, entrance to the park was denied to visitors due to the extreme hazards present after the Great Flood of 2012. Join us for an inside look at what happened behind the barricades during this program that will use photos and video to showcase what was damaged and how the park recovered.
Where to Meet: Meet at the River Inn Visitor Center.
Accessibilityy: The River Inn Visitor Center is fully ADA-accessible. Assisted listening devices are available upon request. If you have an accommodation request, please contact the naturalist at least two weeks ahead of time so they can meet your needs.
Program fee: There is no fee for the program itself. However, all vehicles entering a Minnesota State Park need a vehicle permit. A daily permit for $7 or an annual permit for $35 can be purchased upon arrival. The annual permit is good for 12 months at any MN State Park. Reduced fee permits are available for enrolled members of the 11 recognized Minnesota American Indian Tribes, disabled veterans, active military, and more.
