The City of Superior is proud to recognize the very first tree selected through the Heritage Tree Program: the historic crab apple tree growing in the courtyard of Roosevelt Terrace. 🍎
Estimated to be nearly 100 years old, this remarkable Crab Apple has quietly thrived for generations, protected from harsh winds by the surrounding historic brownstone building. Each spring, it fills the courtyard with abundant blooms and has become a lasting part of the property’s character and history. 📜 🌼
The tree was selected not only for its age and size, but for the story it tells about place, resilience, and community. As the first tree recognized through Superior’s new Heritage Tree Program, it sets the tone for honoring the living landmarks that help shape our city.
